Mark was born on March 14, 1962 in Kansas City, MO to Hurley Wayne and Deanna (Snyder) Mahan. He graduated from Oak Park High School and went on to DeVry to earn a degree in electronics.
After many years together, Mark married Brenda Brizendine in 2000. They have one daughter together and two daughters from Mark’s previous marriage. Their life together was filled with lots of love and quite often laughter. They enjoyed traveling, camping, and collecting/watching movies over the years.
While Mark had several jobs in his lifetime in different areas…construction, restaurant manager, mechanical balancing, truck driver; he eventually settled into a career with AT&T. He would have celebrated 25 years with AT&T in 2022 as a communications technician.
Mark’s love of sports carried forward from his childhood. He had played baseball, volleyball, and football. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Mark had a love of the 4th of July and enjoyed a fireworks business that he started with treasured friends. They would celebrate by putting off fireworks displays for several towns each year.
Mark was very family oriented. He would do anything he could to help family, friends, or even strangers. He had a large heart and shared his compassion with those around him. Mark enjoyed a good joke and making people laugh. He will be missed by his friends and family.
