Mark was born on December 29, 1960 to Charles Sr. and Mary Weinzerl. Mark grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Winnetonka High School. After high school, Mark enlisted in the Military, serving in both the Army and Air Force. Mark married Dana Turpin and the couple had one son, Mark Stephen Weinzerl, II. Throughout his life, he spent time in the medical field and hotel industry. Mark enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his son.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Sr. and Mary Weinzerl, sister Denise Pauley and niece Lisa Ensminger.
Survivors include his son, Mark Stephen Weinzerl, II; brother Charles and wife Linda Weinzerl; sister Carol Jean and husband Don Humphrey; brother Mike and wife Jan Weinzerl; sister-in-law Ruth Weinzerl; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Mark will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a funeral service officiated by Deacon Mike Lewis at 2:00 PM. A graveside service will follow all at White Chapel Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119.
