Mary (Martha) Brooks, 91, of Kansas City, North, passed away August 29, 2015. Martha, was born on August 30, 1923 in Mokane, MO. She married Forrest C. Brooks on August 11, 1950. They celebrated 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2013. Preceding her in death was son, David P. Brooks. She is survived by her son, Mark (Mary) and grandson, Jeffrey. Martha enjoyed watching tennis, the Royals and the Missouri Tigers. She was an avid reader, baker and bird watcher. She was a long time member of Hillside Christian Church. Visitation will held from 11:00 – 12:00 on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Hillside Christian Church with a funeral service to follow. (900 N.E. Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO). Internment at White Chapel Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Hillside Church food pantry.
