

Mary L. Harvey, born as Mary Conception De Lurdes Samario on July 31, 1953, passed away at the age of 71, on September 20th, 2024. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the lives of many with her kindness and heart.
Mary was the cherished daughter of Nabor Samario Sr. and Elga Lopez Amezcua, who preceded her in death along with her brothers, Arturo R. Romero, Felipe D.J. Romero and sister, Cecelia Garcia. She was born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico, resided in Long Beach, California and El Paso, Texas; before moving to Kansas City, Missouri to raise her children and retired in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, where she made lasting memories and friendships. Most of her career was spent in retail management with Walmart and volunteered a lot of her time to children in need through Children's Miracle Network, but her favorite job was always and will forever be MOM.
Mary was the heart of the family. She loved great food, especially spicy and the occasional margarita with some salsa music. Her passion for crafts, detective shows, and action movies brought such joy to her life. She also found immense pleasure in cooking and baking, often sharing her delicious creations with family and friends.
She is survived by her brother Nabor R. Samario Jr. of Lubbock, Texas and her three children: Leopold A. Harvey (wife, Jennifer) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Jason A. Harvey (wife, Tina) of Kansas City, Missouri , and Lisa D. Stark (husband, Jeoff) of Lathrop, Missouri, who will forever hold her in their hearts. Mary was also a proud grandmother to Alexander Harvey, Julia Harvey, Mason Hogan (husband, Ian), Dominic Ortiz, Malik Harvey, Logan Harvey, Liliana Stark, Brennen Stark, Preston Baker, Aubree Baker, Wyatt Stark, and Myalene Harvey. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Eric Hogan, Jack Hogan, and Sophia Ortiz.
Mary’s love for her family was evident in everything she did, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her warmth, creativity, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends
A visitation for Mary will be from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri, with Celebration of Life to begin at 6:00 PM.
