

Mary was born on October 22, 1931 in Kansas City, Kansas to Fernando and Marta (Perez) Pacheco. She married Joseph E. Medina in 1950. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. She graduated from Argentine High School in 1949, where she enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball. She was a lifelong fan of the Kansas City A’s and Royal’s baseball teams. She was an avid reader. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends, tending to her flower garden and all its resident birds, bowling, golfing, and tennis. She worked at Gernes Garment Company, Western Auto Supply Company, and Employers Reinsurance Corporation for a total of 44 years. After retiring, she volunteered for the ARC Thrift Store. She was selfless, a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend whose kindness touched many lives. Her greatest joy was being with her family.
Mary was preceded in death by her brother Victor Pacheco, her sisters Concha Santillan and Luz Sauceda. She is survived by her children: Joseph Medina (April); David Medina (Joan); Daniel Medina (Laurie) and Teresa Moore (Alan). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Daniel, Stephanie, Branden, Krystl, Ryan, Cayleigh, Joshua, and Sarah; 3 great grandchildren: David, Alexis, and Zayne; and her devoted sisters, Clementina Garcia, Candelaria Martin, and Beatriz Robles as well as many extended family members. She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
