Mary Edith Phelps, 95, passed away September 23, 2015. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm on Sunday, September 27th at New Hope Church of the Nazarene, 4330 N Oak Tfwy., Kansas City, MO 64116. Funeral services will be on Monday, September 28th at 10 am at the church with burial to follow at Eastslope Cemetery in Riverside, MO. Mary was an active and founding member of New Hope. She served in about every position of the church from custodian to Sunday school teacher. She retired from the UMKC Library in 1985. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Timothy and 7 siblings. She is survived by 3 sons and their wives; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 2 siblings. Memorial Donations may be made to the church.
