She was born on June 10, 1941 in Lebanon, MO the daughter of Virgil and Lina Evangeline (Cumbea) DeGraffenreid. She moved to Kansas City in 1961 with friends. In 1963 she started her 35 year career at Kansas City Life Insurance Company, retiring on June 30, 1998. She married Robert Priest on November 27, 1966. She volunteered many years at North Kansas City Hospital. She loved shopping, eating out, traveling, and taking trips with her friends.
Survivors include one son, Shawn Priest and his wife, Maria of Kansas City, MO; one daughter, Shannon Orr and her husband, Billy of Lathrop, MO; five grandchildren, Tyler Priest, Jesus Reyes Tapia, Luis Reyes Tapia, Taylor Orr, and Bryanna Priest Tapia; one great grandson, Adrian Reyes; one brother, T.C. DeGraffenreid and his wife, Sandy; one brother in law, Jack Montgomery; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Catherine Montgomery.
