Maxine Sharp

Anna Maxine Sharp (Downing), 93, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully on May 26, 2018. She was born on September 27, 1924 in Dearborn, Missouri to Sampson and Emma Downing. She graduated from Dearborn High School in 1942 and went to work for Southwestern Bell. Maxine married Sam in 1946 and they enjoyed 58 years together. During their time together they welcomed three sons Philip Neal Sharp, Richard D. Sharp, and Ronald Lee Sharp. She enjoyed gardening as well as spending time with her grandchildren. Maxine was happiest when she was around her family.

Maxine is preceded in death by her husband Sam, and both her parents.

Maxine is survived by sons Neal (Carol) Sharp, Richard (Susan) Sharp, Ron (Charlotte) Sharp; grandchildren SSgt. Jason Vaughn, Trisha Vanderploeg, Cassandra Sharp, Lauren (Steven) Keppler, and Sam Sharp; great grandchildren Dylan and Mia Vaughn, and Owen and Will Vanderploeg.

The family will be receiving visitors on Sat., June 2 from 1-2 pm, funeral service starting at 2 pm, burial immediately following all at White Chapel Funeral Home.
