Mike LeTourneau, age 69, of Platte City, Missouri passed away on December 4, 2021. He was born on October 6, 1952, to Bernard (Bernie) E. LeTourneau and Joy Louise Cravens, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a lifelong Kansas Citian.
Mike graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1972. He worked for Clay-Platte Ambulance, as an EMT and then later with Platte County, Missouri Sheriff’s Office for over 42 years before he retired as a Detective in 2015. Mike loved to travel, visit art galleries, museums and build models.
He married Cindy Welch in March 1993, the couple divorced in March 2005. The last 16 years Mike spent with his companion Patricia Shelton.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Mike is survived by his ex-wife Cindy Welch, companion Patricia Shelton, cousin Susan Cravens McNeal and many friends.
A visitation for Mike will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service officiated by Chaplain Rusty Savage of Platte County’s Sheriff’s Office will begin at 11:00 AM with internment to follow, all at White Chapel Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri 64119.
