I had known Kaleb for about five years from working at the vape shop he regularly shopped at. For the past year we hung out every saturday and watched shows or movies together. We had really gotten close since the pandemic started and im utterly shocked to learn of his passing. Kaleb was one of the kindest people I had ever met and he will truly be missed by everyone who crossed paths with him. My deepest condolences to all of his loved ones.

To the family,
My deepest sympathy for each of you. My heart hurts to hear this news. In my mind, Kaleb will always be my nephew. I got the opportunity to watch him grow up and what an amazing, kind, fun, loving nephew. He always made us laugh and provide a smile. I know he was welcomed with loving arms by his Dad, Uncle Tim and Grandma Tarry. I am disappointed in myself that I allowed circumstances in my life to separate us these last few years. May God provide comfort and peace for all of us.

Much love,
Stephanie

Kaleb, or Riku as he was known to us, had the most amazing laugh. Once he started laughing it was infectious. No matter what kind of mood you were in, he would bring a smile to your face. We bonded online over our love for video games and all things nerdy. Whenever you needed someone, he was always the first person to jump into chat just to say hello. I don’t think we have ever met someone who cares for others so deeply as Riku did. He always wanted you to be happy and would gladly talk for hours about a game you were playing or a show you were watching. He was a kind and caring soul and we miss him every day. We are both so glad that we had the opportunity to get to know Riku and our lives are better for it.

We are deeply sorry for your loss.

i rode the 75th street bus with him, and while we didn't speak much, he was a very respectful gentleman. i was wearing a CTHULU shirt and he gave me a compliment on it. i was surprised to find out that he was a fan. there aren't many that i know are.

Kaleb, was such a kind person and hard worker at Alphapointe. Daily he met us with a smile in the hallway or out on breaks. We would chat often about what was going on with his gaming or what the latest events going on in the world. You, our friend will be so very missed at Alphapointe.

We are thinking of Kaleb family, wishing them hope in the midst of sorrow, comfort in the midst of pain.

He finally convinced me to play Undertale. I may never have if he hadn't pushed me to try it. I would wait for him to be online and he would listen as I described my playthrough. He loved hearing other people get excited about it and enjoying it. I think that describes him really well. He loved helping others and making things better. He was always at the Retro Hangover twitch streams and always active in the chat. He knew the hosts needed folks to interact with so he was there to help.

He was always there to help when people needed him.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sorry for the world's loss. It is a sadder place without him.

Kaleb, or Riku as we knew him, was an invaluable member of our little podcast community. He was always such a beacon of positivity, radiating nothing but support and enthusiasm for other folks experiencing video games that were near and dear to him. His absence has already been felt, and he will be sorely missed. From everyone at the Retro Hangover Podcast community, we wish the family nothing but love and support in this unimaginably difficult time.
