Mrs. Nancy Ann Ludy, 76, died peacefully in her home on January 29, 2021, with her loving husband by her side. Nancy was born on March 3, 1944 in Independence, Missouri. Her now deceased parents, Betty and Jack Lewis, resided in Kansas City.
Nancy first met Bob (Robert) when she was 14 working at a car hop; he was home on leave from the Navy. They were married November 26, 1959 in Buckner, Missouri at the home of Bob's parents.
Together they raised three children (all residing in the Kansas City area): Michael Robert Ludy (Linda), Christina Ann Liesveld (Jay), and Vicki Jean Kestermont (Tim). Nancy's family was the most important thing in the world to her. With Bob, they built a home (literally) where they raised their children and recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. They had seven grandchildren and 4 (with 2 more on the way) great-grandchildren.
Before Nancy's MS made it too difficult, Bob and Nancy traveled to several locations in the US (mom would not fly). Some of their favorite road trip locations were Savannah, Georgia, North Carolina (the Biltmore) and, closer to home, Branson, Missouri. Their faithful traveling companions, Ross and Betty Ludy made their trips even more of an adventure and all the kids enjoyed hearing the stories of their shenanigans.
In lieu of flowers it was Nancy's wish that donations be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or The Mid-America Chapter of the MS Society.
The family would like to thank the loving staff of Kansas City Hospice for their dedicated and loving care.
The cemetery portion of services will be private for immediate family.
