Neada was born on January 12, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri to Lucy and Sam Marrone. She graduated from Glennon High School in 1960. Neada married Ross Distefano Sr., her high school sweetheart on February 2, 1963. Neada and Ross Distefano built their company, D&D Masonry, Inc., where she served as president from 2004 to present date. Her most important legacy was her devotion to faith and family. She will always remain the backbone of the family who taught us strength, faith, commitment and the importance of family and love. Neada loved to play cards and gave the best advice to friends and family. She was a generous and compassionate individual who encouraged strong work ethic, standing up for your beliefs, loyalty, faith and most importantly family first. She was an active and dedicated member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she loved to volunteer.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Lucy Marrone, sister Bina Pippin, brother Vincent and Carol Marrone and their infant daughter Elizabeth Marrone, sister Lorraine Lue Kamler, her mother and father-in-law Sam and Anna Distefano, brother-in-law Sal Distefano, and grandson Ross John Kearns.
Neada is survived by her husband of 58 years Ross Anthony Distefano Sr. Children: Anita Jo and Tim Kearns, Ross Anthony Distefano Jr., and Janette and Craig Gordinier. Grandchildren: Katherine (Jonathan) King, Abigail Kearns, Hayden Marie Gordinier, Ross Anthony Distefano III and Brooklyn Gordinier. Great Grandchildren: Olivia and Andersen King. Brother in law and sister in law George and Rita Distefano, brother in law Robert Pippin Sr, Aunt Josephine Lipari. And many cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren and dear friends.
Pallbearers: Sam Marrone, Sam Distefano, Damon Stephens, Bob Herr, David Belfonte, Carl Occhipinto, Joe Calabrese, and Santo Smiroldo . Honorary Pallbearers: Phil Licata, Jim Pippin, Jonathan King, Tim Kearns, Craig Gordinier and Robert Pippin Jr.
A visitation for Neada will be held Friday, February 5, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a 7:00 PM Rosary Service at St. Therese Parish, 7207 NW Highway 9, Kansas City, MO 64118. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM also at St. Therese Parish. A graveside service will follow at Mount Saint Mary's Cemetery, 2201 Cleveland Ave., Kansas City, MO 64127.
