Nivaldo was born on October 17, 1936, in Camaguey, Cuba to Arminda Ferrer and Armando Rodriguez.
He graduated from Pinson College in Camaguey, Cuba with a degree in Accounting and
worked as a Bookkeeper in a pharmacy upon graduation. He married Aida Elena Blanco (Morales) on March 1, 1958 and were happily married for 55 years going on and having three children, Barbara, Frank, and Allan Michael.
Nivaldo always put his family first and was determined to provide for them. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was unendingly proud of his grandchildren, Isabella, Giancarlo, Analisa, and Luca. Spending time with them was always the highlight of his day. He and his family emigrated to the United States on December 20, 1967, after a few years in Spain, and worked very hard to make sure that they were well cared for. Starting a new chapter in his life in Kansas City, MO. was not always easy.
Nivaldo worked at Ford Motor Company a few years before being employed by TWA, a company that he loved even in his retirement years, after over two decades of employment.. He and his wife took advantage of the ability to travel the world. Discovering new places and traveling to spend time with relatives was a passion and his collection of memorabilia attests to this. He was passionate about baseball, specially his beloved St. Louis Cardinals,and had a huge collection of caps and jerseys from various sports teams.
Nivaldo was predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Aida Elena. He is survived by his children, Barbara E. Twing (Paul), Frank A. Rodriguez (Caterina), Allan M. Rodriguez, and his Godson, Juan Miguel Morales.
Nivaldo was a loving father and will be deeply missed by family and friends.
