She was preceded in death by her parents, Delores Lorraine and Charles Lavern Kracht, and leaves behind her loving husband, Jerry Purviance and children Jessica and Quinton Purviance, daughter-in-law Sarah, grandchildren Ethan, Harrison, and Eloise, as well as siblings Bob (Barb) Kracht, Judy (Mark) Keck, and Jim (Diane) Kracht.
Jerry and Pat were just a few days shy of their 49th wedding anniversary. They have been together for over fifty years.
She accepted Christ at five years old after talking with her mother, Delores.
She loved helping people and devoted her career to elementary education, which she received a degree from Calvary Bible College, and later in life by caring for beautiful souls with disabilities. She was a natural teacher, meaning that she took every opportunity to lovingly teach someone.
She had the warmest heart, and often embraced those she loved, as well as people she just met with an equally warm hug. She didn't know a stranger and was usually found talking to and comforting others, often talking to them about the Lord Jesus.
She was passionate, compassionate, a hard worker, decorator, generous, a great cook, creative, an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, and a true lover of God and people. She was an amazing woman and example because of her love for the Lord Jesus Christ
She has many adopted grandchildren and loved serving at Sherwood Bible Church in their Awana program and Children's Sunday School Program, and anywhere help was needed. She was truly invested in the futures of the children she was able to teach and serve.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Northland Shepherd's Center in her honor.
Services will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 12:00 pm at Sherwood Bible Church, 4900 North Norton Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri, 64119. Visitation at 12:00 pm with Celebration at Life at 1:30 pm.
"True wisdom consists in two things: Knowledge of God and Knowledge of Self. And there is no knowing that does not begin with knowing God.” ― John Calvin
