Pat dedicated himself to being a loving and caring husband and father, supporting his family through major milestones and life’s biggest transitions. He always rose to the occasion, teaching important life lessons through his actions and example. When it came to his family, Pat wore a warm smile that reflected his deep love and pride.
From an early age, Pat developed a love for cars and racing—a passion that began in childhood and remained with him throughout his life. What started as a fascination grew into a lifelong pursuit and eventually a career, where he had the special opportunity to work alongside his sister, Kelly, every day. Sharing that professional journey together was something Pat deeply valued and took great pride in.
At heart, Pat was a true salesperson. He genuinely loved connecting with people, building relationships, and sharing stories. His integrity, enthusiasm, and ability to make others feel comfortable earned him the respect and trust of colleagues, customers, and friends alike.
Pat also had a lifelong love of the lake, beginning with many trips taken with his parents and sister during his early years. This fondness grew into a passion he generously shared with friends and family. He spent many summers at the family lake house in the Ozarks, surrounded by those he cared about most. The lake was Pat’s happy place—where he joyfully taught and shared fishing, skiing, and boating as “Captain Pat,” creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Pat was a devoted husband, father, brother, and son, whose life was deeply centered around his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Burfeind (Lisa), and his daughters, Kylie, Jamison, Sydney, and Madison, who were the pride and joy of his life. He was also cherished by his beloved dog, Luna. He is also survived by his sister, Kelly (Ralph) Balsdon, and his nieces, Brooklyn (John) Schaul and Chloe Balsdon, as well as extended family and many friends who will miss him dearly. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Allen Burfeind.
Pat’s legacy lives on in the love he gave so freely, the lessons he taught, the roar of an engine, the calm of the lake, and in the hearts of his family and friends who will carry him with them always.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by check payable to Jamison Burfeind, designated for the JKB Education Fund.
