He was survived by his wife, Billie West, of 36 years; two daughters, Shakara Jordan (Dru) and Kasey Swadley; grandchildren, Christopher, Colton, Paisleigh, Lily, Ayla, Holland, Everly, and Kingston; parents, Floyd West (Pricilla) and Patricia Alano; two sisters, Billie Gray and Anita Sanders (Bobby); his brother, Ralph West (Lisa); and a legacy of nieces and nephews.
He worked for Ford Motor Company for 24 years. He loved to ride motorcycles and have a cup of coffee with his wife.
A Celebration of Life will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119, on August 11, 2026, beginning at 4:00 pm.
