Paul was born June 29,1958 to John and Lupe Sanchez in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from West High School in 1976 and Barber School in 1978. Paul was a barber for 46 years. Not only did his customers receive a haircut, but they also became family through stories, laughter and advice. Paul especially loved the senior citizens and would often make house calls when they could not make it to the shop. He would not accept money but would gladly accept an apple or an orange.
Paul was seen first on the baseball diamond as a player and later as a coach for his daughters' softball teams. Paul also enjoyed roller skating. This is where he met and fell in love with his wife, Julie. They married in 1981 and welcomed twin daughters in 1982. Paul loved road trips (many to Branson), YouTube and of course, Rocky.
Paul leaves his wife of 45 years, Julie, daughters Cecilia (Matt) Stern and Sabrina (Danny) Segura and 7 grandchildren, Hunter (aka Babyman), Alexis (aka Sis-a -row), Selena (aka Lena-a-bob), Xander (aka Dewey), Cruz (aka Mr. Cruz), Thea (aka Meewee) and Kyland (aka Chuck), his mother Lupe Sanchez, sisters Annie (Jesse) Juarez, Patty (Robert) Kerns, and Maria (Tim) Chastain. He also leaves behind many, many, many nieces and nephew, and a very, very large extended family (IYKYK!!).
He is preceded in death by his father John Sanchez Sr, a brother John Sanchez Jr, sisters Juanita and Cecilia Sanchez.
Honoring Paul’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers and gifts for the family, Paul would want everyone to devote their energy to loving, forgiving and taking care of all those around them.
