“Pepper” was a lifelong nickname that began as her CB radio handle in the 1970s—and it suited her perfectly. A sassy, red-headed Italian with fire in her spirit, she was never afraid to speak her mind, stand her ground, or tell it like it was. Fun, fiercely loyal, and endlessly devoted, Pepper treasured the people she loved. Family and friends were everything to her, and she showed her love not just in words, but through laughter, action, and unwavering support.
Pepper was born on September 12, 1944, in Camp Polk, Louisiana, to Laura Harrison. She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura Harrison Brewer and Bruce Brewer.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 24 years, Ricky Moore of Gladstone, MO; her son Kenton Curfman and wife Amy Lane-Curfman of Kearney, MO; her grandchildren JC Curfman (wife Lindsey and family) of Kansas City, MO, and Katie Morriss of Chicago, IL; her great grand-children Meredith Curfman and Everett Curfman of Kansas City, MO ; her sister Deanna Taylor of Lawrence, Kansas; and her brother-in-law Roger Moore (Toni) of Liberty, Missouri.
A private memorial service will be held at a future date.
