We had a beautiful send off for Phyllis today at White Chapel.  A gorgeous fall day set the stage for memories of our dear friend. She was a GREAT lady.  Her generosity and kindness in helping youth in church numerous years ago to her diligence in assisting teachers creatively teach everyone but knowing the resources in the library. Phyllis liked to be behind the scenes, but occasionally she would get an opportunity to teach others about how to do their genealogy/Family History.
She was so humble and never realized what an expert she was in this field nor what an example of being steadfast in the gospel of  Jesus Christ. She didn't preach  (because that was not her way) instead --she served others with good will, graciousness, and grace.  It was an honor to know her.

Phyllis was a happy, kind and loving person.  She always had a smile. She was a diligent genealogist, working at the Liberty Missouri Family History Library for several years. She was a faithful member of the Shoal Creek Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many positions. She will be remembered as a Primary Teacher, a Visiting Teacher and for many years as the Ward Librarian.  I will miss her.

Phyllis was a caring and wonderful neighbor. She loved to feed the birds; take care of her tiny black cat and went to church every Sunday. She will be greatly missed.
