Phyllis J. Phipps, 83, of Kansas City, MO formally Lawson, MO for 24 years passed away Sunday August 16, 2015. Mrs. Phipps worked in the cafeteria at Oak Park High School. She also worked at Nationwide Paper Co. for 8 years and also with her husband, Sam, at their Western Auto store in Lawson, MO. Her husband, Samuel Phipps, died in 1989. She also had a sister Adren Cain who passed away in 2008. Mrs. Phipps is survived by her daughters, Vicky (John) Hart and Cheryl (Richard) Vaughan. She also has 2 nephews, Michael and Donald Cain; 5 grandchildren, Shane Hart, Lori Stuteville, Richard Vaughan Jr, Kathleen Vaughan and Thomas Vaughan; great grandchildren, Tristin Stuteville, Samuel Stuteville and Eila Vaughan. Service 2:00pm Saturday August 22, 2015 White Chapel Funeral Home Gladstone, MO. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Family suggests memorial gifts to Gower Convalescent Center or Three Rivers Hospice.
