Randall Eugene Woodward Green passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026 at his home in Kansas City, MO. He was born on October 9, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa to Charles “Chuck” Woodard and Roselyn Louise Green.
Randall was the loving father of Justin Colter John Green (Lauren). He was the proud grandfather of Justin “JJ” Green, Penelope Green, and Genevieve “Gigi” Green. He is also survived by his brother, Ron Woodard; his sister, Victoria Thompson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Roselyn; his father, Charles; and his stepfather, Dorvin Green.
Randall proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Flight Engineer/Plane Captain (FCPC). Following his military service, he dedicated much of his professional life to helping others as a paramedic. His passion for emergency medicine and education eventually led him to establish Greenco Education, where he provided continuing education and training to healthcare professionals. Throughout his career, Randall took great pride in sharing his knowledge, helping others succeed, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around him.
Those fortunate enough to know Randall knew that he was truly one of a kind. Funny, charismatic, outgoing, and full of life, he had an extraordinary ability to connect with people and make friends wherever he went. He could light up a room with his personality, bring a smile to almost anyone's face, and turn even an ordinary moment into a lasting memory. His quick wit, infectious laughter, and larger-than-life personality made him someone people naturally gravitated toward.
Beneath his humor and playful spirit was a genuinely kind and generous heart. Randall cared deeply about others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether through his work, his friendships, or the countless small acts of kindness he extended throughout his life, he found happiness in making a positive difference for others.
Randall loved the outdoors, traveling, exploring new places, spending time with friends, and embracing all that life had to offer. He believed life was meant to be enjoyed, laughter was meant to be shared, and the best moments were often the simplest ones. He had a wonderful way of finding joy in everyday life and making those around him feel welcome, appreciated, and entertained.
Of all the accomplishments, adventures, and experiences of his life, nothing brought Randall greater happiness or pride than being a father and grandfather. His love for his family was the most important part of who he was, and his grandchildren held an especially treasured place in his heart. JJ, Penelope, and Gigi were truly the lights of his life. He adored them beyond measure, cherished every moment spent with them, and took immeasurable pride in watching them grow. The joy they brought him was unmistakable, and the love he had for them knew no bounds.
Above all else, Randall will be remembered as an extraordinary father and grandfather, a loyal friend, and a man who lived with warmth, humor, generosity, and an unmistakable zest for life. He leaves behind a lifetime of laughter, cherished memories, and love that will continue to be felt by everyone whose life he touched.
Although he will be deeply missed, the happiness he brought to others, the friendships he built, and the unconditional love he gave his family will remain a lasting part of his legacy. His spirit will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
A Celebration of Life will be held privately by the family. Family and friends are invited to share memories and condolences through the White Chapel Funeral Home website.
