He is survived by wife Stacey Woods and six children; Jackie, Ryan, Truman, Logan, Samuel, and Rachel Williams, his 5 grandchildren as well as his 2 sisters, Camie and Felicia, and his 2 nephews, Corey and Travis.
In his early years, Reuben worked at Dirks Sports Bar and Grill. He was kitchen lead for 27 years and mastered his craft on the grill working 6 days a week whether he was ill or injured. The man was superhuman. He never missed a day of work. During his time at the bar, he decided to choose 2 underdogs from 2 separate professions and from the moment he picked them, Reuben always caught flak at the bar for being a cheese head (Packers fan) and cheering on NASCARs number 24 Jeff Gordon. After the closure of the bar, he worked another 9 additional years at Ford before retiring. He always made sure his family was taken care of. He was strong, independent, a smart ass at times, and crowned the Nap king of his household. He loved to sleep. His favorite drink was chocolate milk and he loved fish as a favorite meal. Reuben was loved, known, and will be dearly missed by many.
A Celebration of Reuben’s life will be held at a later date. Please share memories and condolences on the White Chapel Funeral Home Website.
