He was born on April 2, 1974, in Ft. Lewis, Washington, the son of Richard Allan Beemer, Sr and Judith Ann Fellows. A resident of Platte City, Missouri, Rick will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude by all who knew him.
Rick went to North Kansas City High School. He was married to Louise Ann Coberley on December 14, 1997.
Rick served in the United States Army, enlisting in the Reserves in 1992, and chose to make the military his career in 2001, specializing in logistics. He was deployed following 9/11, a chapter of his life that reflected steady courage and a quiet willingness to place others before himself. His work ethic and sense of duty were evident in the way he carried responsibility—reliably, without pretense, and with the kind of patience that steadies those around him.
Those closest to Rick knew a man of honesty and compassion, someone whose care for others showed not in grand gestures but in consistent, selfless presence. Even in serious moments, he could offer a measured humor—never at another’s expense, but as a way of bringing lightness and perspective when it was needed most.
Rick's life was marked by service, integrity, and enduring strength. He will be deeply missed and respectfully remembered.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Beemer, Sr and Judith Fellows.
Rick leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Lou Ann Beemer (Coberley), of the home; three children, KayLee Beemer, age 28, of Colorado; Meghan Masten (Beemer), age 26, of Kansas City, Missouri; and Eric Beemer, age 18, of Gladstone, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jaime Masten, age 5 and Ellie Masten, age 3; and Silas Beemer, age 4.
