Robert "Steve" S Brown

Steve was born on October 22, 1940 in Holt, Missouri to Harold and Pauline (Blankenship) Brown. He graduated from Lathrop High School in 1958. He served in the US Army from 1963-1965. After his military career he went on to work for the railroad and later working in the trucking industry.

On November 16, 1985, he married the love of his life, Kay Gerdes. They had 2 fur babies, George and Howard. Steve and Kay loved traveling, some of their favorite places were Kauai, Hawaii; Puerto Rico; and Hong Kong. They both enjoyed singing in the church choir at Avondale Methodist Church, where they were active members for over 40 years.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Pauline Brown; his loving wife, Kay Brown; his in-laws Alvin and Mary Gerdes; sister, Nancy McKee; brother in law, Roy McKee; brother in law, Rob Hatten; nephew in law, Al Sauer; his favorite fur babies, George, Howard and Rojo.

Steve is survived by his niece Heather Sauer; great nieces; Teresa (Chris) Fox, Diana Sauer, Shelia (Adrien) Catania; great nephew; Eric (Henrietta) Sauer; 11 great great nieces and nephews; and 1 great great great nephew; sister in law, Sally Hatten; nephews; Alex Ruthmann, and Nick Ruthmann & fiancee Allison Girvis.
