Robert “Bob” Long, age 87, passed away on July 26, 2026. He was born in Pleasant Hill, Illinois to Glen Long and Gertrude (Ogle) Long. Bob married Shirley Withington on January 18, 1962.

He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Long, parents Glen and Gertrude Long, and grandson Dustin Conner.

Bob is survived by his daughters: Rhonda Coleman (James Bryan Coleman) and Robin Edwards ( Douglas Edwards). Seven grandchildren: Joey Ballard Jr., Danielle (Lee) Linhart, James Daniel (Megan) Coleman, Kayla Edwards-Stewart, James Michael Coleman, and Tiffany (Nathan) Edwards. Seven great grandchildren: Dustin B. Conner, Ean Ballard, Aria Ballard, Allison Conner, Theo Ballard, Annabelle Conner and Elena Coleman.

The family would like to thank the NorthCare Hospice House staff their efforts and dedication.
