Ron was born to Carl and Dorothy Goff on August 28, 1939. He graduated from Easton High School in Easton, Kansas, and went to work at Hallmark Cards. Ron then spent 33 years with TWA, working at the Downtown Airport and the Overhaul Base. He retired in 2000. He was always a hard worker and made many friends along the way. We are fortunate that he passed his work ethic to his family; he believed that the work had to be done before the fun could begin.
Ron was known and loved by so many. He never met a stranger and no matter where he went, he always ran into someone he knew. Ron met many of his lifelong friends through his work, square dancing, sports events, as well as bluegrass and country music programs.
Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and sports of all kinds, especially KU Basketball and dirt track car racing. Some of his best times were the times he spent with his family at Weatherby Lake. He loved to host picnics there and offered pontoon rides to everyone. As he aged, spending time with his children and grandchildren was his greatest joy.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Jeannine Goff; his sister, Carolyn Agee; his sister-in-law, Sandra Goff, two daughters and a son-in-law, Lisa and Randy Samer and Lori Goff Brown; two granddaughters and their spouses, Kendra and Brendan Camplin, Tara Samer and Matthew Mulligan; one grandson, Samuel Brown; two great-granddaughters, Sydney and Lucy Camplin; and many nieces and nephews.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl Goff; and his wife of 26 years, Bonnie Goff.
The family would like to express our appreciation to NorthCare Hospice House for the loving care Ron received at the end of his life.
