Rosita was born April 10, 1928 in Lihue, Kauai. She was the daughter to Aquilino and Conception (Cartahena) Barriga. She married Crispino Delanoza on April 23rd 1949 and they were married for 60 years until he preceded her in death on December 11, 2009. Also preceding her in death were her daughters, Christine McGrew and Charlene Schroder.
She is survived by her two other daughters, Aileen Fletcher and Marilyn Coffey; eight grandchildren: Kathy Austenfeld, Lindy Fletcher, Rhiannon Uribe, Ryan McGrew, Nathan Schroeder, Kyle Schroeder, Lauren Coffey and Erik Fletcher; and eight great grandchildren.
Rosita lived in Kauai for 39 years. She worked at the Pineapple Cannery, Kauai Inn, and Tip Top. She was a mother to four daughters; Christine, Aileen, Marilyn and Charlene. In 1967, she and the family moved to California. While in California, she worked at a donut shop and Kmart. She retired at Kmart in 1990 at the age of 62. Rosita loved to sew, play Solitaire, and spend time with her family and friends. She loved to cook, and share a good meal and conversation with loved ones. She had an infectious smile and laugh, and was one of the most positive and kind people anyone could ever meet. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday February 6, 2021 @ 10 AM with a gathering from 9-10 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church (900 NE Shady Ln, Dr. Kansas City, MO 64118); graveside service to follow at 11:15am at White Chapel Cemetery (6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone MO 64119).
