Roxy Kay (Divelbiss) German, 98, passed away on December 17, 2020. She was born in Gower, Missouri November 18, 1922. Her mother Elvira was a housewife and her father Lee ran an ice business in the summer and a coal business in the winter. Roxy didn't get to go to high school, but she did receive her GED. She married Howard German at the age of 18. Howard came to see her the day she was born. He lived on a neighboring farm. They had one daughter Linda Kay. Roxy and Howard built a house in Gladstone (then called Linden) where Roxy lived until her death, 67 years. Roxy had a full and rewarding life - working at CVS for 28 years and retiring at the age of 82.
She is survived by her daughter Linda, two grandchildren, Kimberly Whitaker and Kirk Banes and five great grandchildren Gibson Whitaker, Roxy Kay Whitaker, Levi Banes, Noah Banes, and Clara Marie Banes. She is also survived by her brother Fred Divelbiss.
Roxy had four sisters who preceded her in death, Leah, Golda, Francis, and Lolita.
