Russell D Anderson

Russell Anderson, 72, of Gladstone, MO died Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Services will be held Saturday, December 13th at St. James Lutheran Church in Kansas City, MO at 2 pm, with Jack DeWees officiating. Russell D. Anderson was born on December 16, 1941, the son of Elmer and Eleanor (Hendrick) Anderson in Council Bluffs, IA. He married Merrilee Wobbema on August 25, 1962. He met his wife in Okoboji, IA at the age of 14 and reunited with her at Midland Lutheran College in Freemont, NE. They honeymooned in Okoboji and some of his happiest moments were his frequent trips to Okoboji. After his degree he moved his growing family to Schaumburg, IL where they made life-long friends. They moved the family to Kansas City, MO in 1980. Russell leaves behind his wife, Merrilee; sons, Steven Russell Anderson of Liberty, MO and Michael John Anderson of Farmington, MO; daughter, Kristen Kay Branson of Gladstone, MO; eight grandchildren and sister, Wanda Hanson of Woodbury, MN.
