Sandra Linn Sanders (Sandy), age 73, of Gladstone, Missouri, fell asleep in the Lord on May 15, 2025. She was born October 19, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Ralph and Ethel Sanders. Sandra was baptized October 28, 1951 and confirmed in the Lutheran faith May 16, 1965, both at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Kansas City, North. She was a Charter Member of Holy Cross. She lived most of her life in Gladstone, Missouri. She remained a member of Holy Cross at the time of her passing.
A life-long Kansas City area resident, Sandy graduated from Oak Park High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She was employed by the U.S. Department of Labor in Kansas City as a Management Analyst for 38 years. Sandy retired from DOL 2010. Sandy is survived by her sister, Linda Rusche and husband Richard of Gladstone, Missouri.
Sandy traveled extensively with her family, circumnavigating the globe in 1973 using TWA employee-family benefits, and cruised with her family to many destinations, including Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, western Caribbean and transit of the Panama Canal.
A visitation for Sandy will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2003 NE Englewood Road, Kansas City, Missouri, 64118, with funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow immediately at White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri, 64119. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
