Saundra Kay Werkowitch passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2026 in Kansas City, MO. She was born on May 16, 1945 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late Jess Richard Johnson and Henrietta Louise Fulsom Johnson.
Saundra worked hard throughout her life to provide for her family. She was a loving mother to Laura and her husband, Shawn Spiwak. She doted upon her grandchildren Evan Thomas and Paige Nicole Spiwak. Her best times were spent with family and loved ones, taking pictures and laughing. She grew up riding horses and they remained an important interest and love throughout her life.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas Warren Werkowitch, and is survived by her brother, Mike Johnson of Olathe. She is also remembered by nieces Jacki Wasinger and Jessica Frost, and nephew Mike Johnson, II.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119 on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Visitation from 10:00 AM until service time.
