Shane Marcus Vogel, age 49, died unexpectedly on May 16, 2021. He was born in North Kansas City Missouri on December 13, 1971 to Charlotte Lorraine. He attended Oak Park High School. He was a huge Chiefs fan, NASCAR fan, and loved to play golf. He worked as a body repair man for most of his years. Shane loved his family the most especially his two boys.
Shane is preceded in death by his father, George Barnes and his brother Charlie Barnes.
Shane is survived by his mother Charlotte Barnes; his sisters Michele Hooks(Wardell), Debbie Hoffman (Barry); his two sons, Cadyn Barnes Vogel and Keaton Marcus Vogel; his nieces, Madisen Benedick, and Jessica Chappell; also two nephews Brandon Benedick (Rachael) and Martell Hooks, along with many cousins great nieces and great nephews, close friends and family members.
In lieu of flowers the family request that you make donations to his two boys in their mother’s name Tish Amos.
A celebration of life will be held, with details to follow. We ask that when the celebration of life is held that everyone wear Chiefs or NASCAR attire.
