It is with heavy hearts and sorrow that we announce the passing of Sherree Ann Porter-Grindel, on February 22, 2025 in Liberty, Missouri. Sherree was born on April 8, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri to parents of Rose Evans Ellerman and Charles L. Ellerman.
She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and wife. Sherree devoted her life to her family and friends through acts of generosity and service. As a mother, she stayed home with her children to raise them with love and care. She found beauty and joy in all types of wildlife, doing the daily crossword puzzle in pen, and traveling. She had enthusiasm for attending vintage car shows, concerts and KC Royals games. Her love for music became a hobby for collecting Beatles memorabilia. May she rest in peace, and may her memory live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Sherree was preceded in death by her parents, and first husband Paul W. Porter. Survivors include her husband Richard Grindel of Kansas City; two daughters, Shanna Siller (Porter) and husband, Eduardo of San Antonio, TX, and Shelby Ferguson (Porter) and husband, Brett of Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren, Natalie Daily (Siller), Christopher Siller, Sebastian Siller, Madeleine Siller, Porter Ferguson, and Corbin Ferguson.
To celebrate her life a rosary will be held February 28, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. with a visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 309 S. Stewart Rd., Liberty, MO. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held March 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Liberty, MO, graveside service to follow at White Chapel Cemetery, Gladstone, MO.
