Shirley “Meme” Gerba, 84, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on December 24th, 2020. Shirley was born on March 29, 1936 in Kansas City, MO to Robert and Gladys Fisher. She made her lifelong career in banking, which was her passion and later retired to enjoy her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob Fisher, nephew Scott Fisher and her loving husband of 40 years Pete Gerba.
Shirley is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law LeeAnn and Dustin Melton, her granddaughters Lindsey and Emily Melton, great granddaughter Mia Melton, niece Christi Grissinger, sister Barbara Brown and many other nieces and nephews. She also was survived by her dear friend Jean Miller.
Private graveside service will be on Thursday, December 31st at Newcomer’s White Chapel, with a celebration of life on a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
