Shirley was born in Marceline, Missouri to Hershal and Elvina (Standley) Ratliff.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elvina and Mary Adams; her husband of 69 years, Eddie Robinson; two sons, Eddie Dewayne (Emma) Robinson, and David Alan (Cheryl) Robinson; and a grandson, Daniel G Fox III.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherry (Danny) Fox and a son, Michael Shane (Pamela) Robinson. Shirley was blessed with six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
After raising her four children, Shirley acquired her GED and graduated with honors from Maple Woods Community College with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in data processing. She was later employed by Park Place Hotel, Environmental Law Inc and Sears as an Administrative Secretary.
Her hobbies included volunteer work at schools, scouts, and church. She enjoyed canning and making wedding and specialty cakes. Her favorite past time was dancing with the love of her life, Eddie, numerous times a week.
Celebration of life will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home at 6600 NE Antioch Road Gladstone, Missouri 64119. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 1:00 with services to follow.
