The minute I looked at you I fell in love. You had a gift you brought peace, love , and God to life. I loved you Spencer and I was blessed to be your grandmother.

I will never forget the first time I met Spencer (and Tim). During the music, Spencer was joyfully worshipping as Tim walked with him on his shoulders in front of where I was at the tech board. I wish I had snapped a picture! But I went to Tim during the song and told him he had a true worshipper on his shoulders. The abandonment was so pure. And a daddy lifting his child into that place of joy. I'm so thankful I have that memory....it's how I always think of Spencer and Tim.
Truly Spencer was well-loved❤️

Oh my sweet boy..I knew from the day you were born that you were destined for great things. You had the heart of a fighter from day one. I remember bringing you home to meet your big brother and he decided then and there we would call you Tater tot. You're life wasn't exactly what we planned, but it was perfect and beautiful. So full of love and pure joy. There's not one person who met you and didn't instantly fall in love with those big blue eyes and infections smile. I'm so lucky to have had the pleasure to be your mom.

I remember coming to the med-surg unit to meet Spencer before he was discharged home. He was enthralling, beautiful eyes and a warm presence. I watched you together and I knew, despite all the unknowns and obstacles that he was your son and that your destinies would be forever linked. Now I know how that sounds---romantic and oblivious to the considerations and cautions that come with foster/adoption, birthparents... But you know I am as pragmatic and realistic as they come, and I am telling you that afternoon I had no question, no doubt, no reservation, no hesitation. I saw the power of your wide-open heart and the magic of love.
