Dear Tommy
I was reminiscing  of the time we made music together from downtown to Cascones. I’m  so sorry I wasn’t aware of your passing . I think of you often and know you are in a wonderful place. Thank you for all you gave to me and to the world with your music.

What will I do now, when Im 64. I love and miss you calling and singing to me after a gig. Tommy, you're in my heart to stay.

Tommy, You were my first true love. You taught me about making music and I loved it when you learned a new song and played it for me first. When you bought The Grateful Dead songbook filled with the sheet music of all their songs and learned 'Sugaree'. When you played that song I fell in love with you even more. All the late night calls you made to me over the years just to sing to me after a gig. Taking me to band practice before there was even a real band. Taking me to the Ozark Music festival in 1974 for 3 days we heard so many great bands. So many great memories. Living at Hippie hill with Doug, Sam, Buck and Bruce, you were so lucky to have such good friends all with a guitar in their hands. You showed me a whole new world where music  filled the air. I still think about you and you have a special place in my heart forever. I will always love you. You taught me how to drive a stick shift and you always knew where to go to see all the best bands, local or famous. You were born to write songs and to sing them to everyone. Where am I gonna go when I'm 64, now. I was suppose to be with you in our rocking chairs on the porch listening to you sing while we watched the sun set. Oh, Tommy, I miss you.

Ah Tommy I always thought we were invincible. Man, those nights at stadium inn we sure thought so. We were all family though. That time at stadium inn was a space in time that remains perfectly special even now. You and Kacee and me bouncing and working the door. I (Woody) have roamed the times of my memories with you all many times. Always wished for one more night together again. You never had to turn to look, I always had your back. Miss you brother. Those memories are always like last night and burn brightly.

So sorry for the loss of your son. He was quite the character. I met him when my brother started playing music w/him at JCs. I will never forget when he traveled w/me and my friend Sandy to the Sturgis rally. RIP T Barr.

Tommy was (and always will be) one of my best friends. I always called him my "Little Big Brother". 

Thirty years ago, he took this twenty one year old geek under his wing. He and his musical partner, Kacee, brought out something in me that I never knew was there. I will always be forever grateful.

He was my friend. He was my teacher. He could be my biggest pain. Most importantly....he was my Brother. I will never forget what he did for me.

Rest In Peace, my Little Big Brother. You are not hurting anymore. I look forward to when we can perform together again. I love you.

To Mrs. Barr...I am so sorry for your loss. He is not hurting anymore. If you need ANYTHING, I will be there. I love you, too.

Sad that TBarr is gone.  Had a lot of fun watching him play over the last 13 years, and getting to know him.

I just can't believe that the legendary Tbarr is gone!  :(  He was very helpful to me during my first few years of living in Kansas City!
