Thomas Raymond Ware

Thomas Raymond Ware (62) was born June 12, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Winnetonka High School in 1981 where he was on the wrestling team. In the early 80’s he enlisted in the Marine Corps and was stationed in San Diego, California. He married Robin Rank in 1993 and their son, Taylor, was born in 1995.

He was honored to be a step father to Briana Garton.

Tommy worked as a cook and culinary manager in many care facilities around the KC area. He enjoyed fishing at the Masters’ farm pond in Excelsior Springs, Chiefs and Royals games, gambling at the boats, a cold beer, scratching off lottery tickets, thrift stores and garage sales, and all things Marine Corps related.

He is preceded in death by his son, Taylor Ware (2019), his mother, Carolyn Whitaker (2000),

his father, James Whitaker (2024), his sister, Susan Masters (2024) and his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Masters (2021).

He is survived by his sister Laura DuBow (Norm) and his nephews and nieces, Josh Masters (Jill), Jimmy Masters (Teresa), Nikki Roberts (Dave), Benjamin DuBow and Georgia Gomez (Anthony).

Tommy also had a large loving family with many aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to list.

A gravesite ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10am at White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri, 64119.
