Master Pilot Tom Hatfield received his final departure clearance Friday morning, September 22. Rated as an airline transport pilot and single and multiengine instructor, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine “Anne” Hatfield. He was born June 11, 1939, in Ohio and grew up near Dayton, Ohio. He belonged to the St. Andrew Masonic Lodge #619 in Springfield, Ohio, and the
Scottish Rite bodies and Ararat Shrine Temple of Kansas City, MO. He had a long history of commercial flights as well as many Flying Fez flights to the Shrine Burn Centers on Galveston Island, Texas and Cincinnati, Ohio, as well as other Shriner related orthopedic hospitals throughout the United States. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by sisters, Sharon and Shirley Hatfield of Xenia , OH.
