

Wanda was born on September 7, 1940, to Clyde and Adaline Garrett in Kansas City, Missouri. Wanda grew up in Kansas City, MO and she attended Northeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri. When Wanda turned 30 she moved to Independence, MO for 6 years, and eventually moved to Rayville, MO where she built a home on the farm her parents also lived next door.
Wanda retired as a retail sales associate from Missouri Sewing Machine Company. Wanda’s hobbies included sewing, flowers, and gardening. Wanda was a very accomplished seamstress, and she enjoyed making special gifts for her friends and family. Wanda had a charming personality, and she always made a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Wanda was preceded in death by parents Clyde and Adaline Garrett. She is survived by her two children Kimberly M Crowley (Thomas Crowley) of Lee’s Summit, MO and Michael S. Luvin (April Luvin) of Weldon Spring, MO. Wanda also had four grandchildren, Brennan Crowley, Kiersten Crowley, Connor Luvin, & Andrew Luvin.
Services will be held at The White Oak Groves Assisted Living, located at 1415 West White Oak St. Independence, MO 64050 on March 29, 2025 at 1PM. There will be a gathering of friends and family for a luncheon after the services.
