She was born August 10, 1928, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Forest Harold and Alice (Thompson) Berry. Wanda graduated from Southeast High School. She married Elie Robertson, Jr in 1952, and they were blessed with two children, Berry and Beth.
Wanda lived a life grounded in faith, family, and quiet strength. A charter member of Meadowbrook United Methodist Church and later a member of Faubion United Methodist Church, she was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. An accomplished genealogist, she preserved family history with care and precision. Though petite in stature, she possessed a strong spirit—firm in her opinions, orderly, and devoted to maintaining a well run home.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother who cherished her family above all else. Known for her excellent peanut butter crisscross cookies and her fondness for Mickey Mouse, with whom she shared a birthday, Wanda brought warmth and tradition to every stage of her life. A homemaker by vocation, she created a household defined by steadiness and enduring love.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Alice Berry; her brother, Richard Berry; her husband, Elie Robertson, Jr.; her daughter in law, Nancy Robertson; and her daughter, Beth (Robertson) Asher.
Wanda is survived by her son, Berry Robertson; her son in law, Bruce Asher; grandsons Brian Asher, John Robertson, and Brad Asher; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Wanda made her home at McCrite Plaza at Briarcliff in her later years, where she was cared for with kindness, surrounded by friends, and supported by a dedicated community. Her family is deeply grateful to the McCrite Plaza staff for the exceptional care and compassion they provided.
A visitation for Wanda will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri 64119. The funeral will begin at 2:00 PM, followed by the committal in the White Chapel Cemetery.
