William Dean “Bill” Cox passed away on September 14, 2026. Bill was born in Kansas City, Missouri and went on to create a life filled with family, friends, laughter, and memories with the people he loved.
Bill worked for Manheim Auto Auction and was a co-owner of Cyclone Portable Restrooms. However, Bill was so much more than his work ethic. He was a son, dad, grandfather, brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend. Bill loved everyone he met and spent his life building unforgettable relationships that meant the world to him.
Bill is survived by his cherished children, Tristan Cox, Christain Cox, Destiny Cox, Savannah Sweet, and Brittney Sweet; grandson, Beckett Cox; brother, Jesse Cox; sister, Shawna Cox; best friend Julie Cox, as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Allen Cox and his mother, Marilyn Sterling (Morris).
If you knew Bill, you knew he loved to party. Bill loved motorcycles, playing pool, camping, riding around on ATVs, barbequing, and spending time with his family and friends more than anything. Bill was also known to throw the best prank. He always had a way of making sure that everyone in the room had something to laugh about. You never knew what you were going to walk into with Bill, but you knew it wouldn’t be boring.
Bill could always find something positive to smile about, even through the toughest times. He knew how to be lighthearted and create funny moments during times when many people would only cry. He loved making people smile.
Above all, Bill loved his kids. Through thick and thin, he was there for all of his children. They could always count on him to be there for them. (Especially if they needed to be bailed out)
Bill will be missed more than words can express. But those who loved him will always remember the laughs, stories, pranks, adventures, and memories he gave them during his 55 years on this Earth. He will live on, not only in their hearts, but in how he impacted their lives.
