William David Newkirk, 82, of Cameron, Missouri, who most recently resided in Winder, Georgia, passed away on July 25, 2026. He was born January 5, 1944, in Midland, Texas, and grew up in Liberty, Missouri, with his parents and sister.
William worked hard with his hands throughout his entire life. He had a lifelong love of cars, and he was never one to turn down a sweet treat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William James Newkirk and Violet Rose Newkirk; his wife of 51 years, Elda Lou Newkirk; his son, William David Newkirk Jr.; and his granddaughter, Jamie Newkirk.
William is survived by his sister, Shirley Rose Keller, and his sons, David Scott Newkirk and Jeffrey Scott Newkirk. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Shaun Newkirk, Andrew Newkirk, Justin Newkirk, Morgan Newkirk, Zachariah Newkirk, and Brooklynn Newkirk.
A funeral service will be held Monday, August 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer’s White Chapel in Gladstone, MO, with a graveside service to follow. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
