

Wilma was born on October 3rd 1923 in Riley, Kansas to Michael and Mable Phalen. Wilma married William LaVern Floberg, in 1944 and had two children William Michael Floberg and Patricia Ann (Floberg) Scantlin.
She graduated from Riley High School in 1941. In 1942 Wilma worked as a riveter on B25 bombers in Wichita Kansas. Her children remember her as a patient and loving mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Wilma was an accomplished seamstress and ballroom dancer, she often made her own ballroom dresses for competitions. She was a generous, witty individual who loved gardening, playing bridge, bowling, dancing, being involved with her community and who was passionate about her family and eating ice cream every day. She was an active and dedicated member of the North Cross Methodist Church in Gladstone, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by Father Michael Phalen of Riley, KS, Mother Mable Phalen of Riley, KS, Husband William LaVern Floberg of Kansas City, MO, Brother Bob Phalen of Manhattan, KS, sister Betty (Phalen) Bryson of Riley, KS, and sister Zadie (Phalen) Floberg of Manhattan, KS.
Wilma is survived by her son William Michael Floberg of Slidell, LA, Daughter Patricia Ann (Floberg) Scantlin of Kansas City, MO. and five grandchildren, Scott, Wess, Blake, Jeff and Heather, three great grandchildren, Charlotte, Chris, and Jordan and one great great grandchild, Ivy.
Visitation is scheduled at 1pm followed by the Memorial at 2pm at White Chapel 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone MO 64119, All are welcome to attend and celebrate Wilma's life.
