Winifred Holly Reynolds

Winifred Holly Reynolds, 89, the heart and soul of our family, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, October 24, 2015. Holly, daughter of Finis and Florence Burd, was born October 8, 1926 in Buffalo, MO. Holly was united in marriage to James Reynolds on January 25, 1947. The two would share 60 years of marriage until James passing in 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Malcolm. Survivors include her sons, Donald (Melinda) Reynolds and James Reynolds of Kansas City; grandchildren, Christopher, Kassandra, Kelsey and Kaitlin Reynolds; and several nieces and nephews. Holly was raised in Dallas County and graduated from Buffalo High School in 1943. Upon graduation, she moved to Kansas City where she met her husband, James. James and Holly were lifelong members of Gashland Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, MO. She enjoyed sewing and crossword puzzles but her family was most important in her life. Holly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 30 at 12:00 pm.
