Guy M. Rodgers, 59, of Glastonbury, more recently of East Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2019. Guy was born in Hartford on December 16, 1959, a son of John and Florence (Lawson) Rodgers. Guy graduated from ECSU in Willimantic, CT with Dual Degrees in Business Administration and Economics. He was an avid enthusiast of sports, music, and art. Guy will be dearly missed by his family and friends: parents John and Florence Rodgers of Elizabeth City, NC, sons Garth Rodgers and his girlfriend Leesa Tyler, Garan Rodgers of Manchester, CT, Elijah Rodgers of Phoenix, AZ, daughter Hannah Rodgers of Tucson, AZ, grandchildren Dajainay and Zhakarey of Manchester, sister Kathleen Bernaiche and her Husband Paul of Marlborough, CT, nieces and nephew; Cody of San Diego, CA and Nora Bernaiche of Marlborough, CT , Arielle Annecharico of East Hampton, CT , Megan Rodgers of East Haven And sister in law Kay Rodgers of Hertford, NC, dear friends Heidi Sanborn of Manchester, CT and Gene Giachello of Ellington, CT. Guy is predeceased by his brother John Rodgers Jr. All are welcome to attend calling hours on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 , 4-7pm at Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tnpk., Glastonbury CT 06033. Services will begin Wednesday, January 16, at 10:30am, followed by Celebration of Life at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. I've known Guy for many years....I used to babysit his sons Garth and Garon ...we stayed in touch through the years....Guy had a heart of gold....I will miss him terribly....Forever In My Heart....RIP My Friend...
