Joanne R. Schneider of Glastonbury passed away from cancer peacefully at home with her family on Thursday, February 7, 2013,. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1947, and lived in Glastonbury the last 30 years. She is survived by her very loving and devoted husband of 42 years Ron, daughter Carol and future son in law George Moore, as well as her brother Bob Cony in Milwaukee. Joanne was proud of her family, photography, library volunteering, League of Women Voters, Democratic Party activities, and many business accomplishments.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 12 from 7 pm until 8:30 pm at the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tpke, Glastonbury. Joanne asked her wishes for no flowers be respected. Instead donations may be made to VNA Hospice Program, 103 Woodland St., Hartford, CT 06106. Burial will be in Milwaukee at a private family ceremony.
