OBITUARY

Noella Marie Sirois

January 22, 1932April 15, 2019

Noella Marie (Long) Sirois, beloved wife of the late Lester J. Sirois Sr., of 60 years, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2019 at the Seabury Skilled Nursing Care in Bloomfield, CT. Noella was born in Edmunston, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late John and Georgiana (Burton) Long. She and her husband Lester owned and operated the Nitey Nite Motel in South Windsor from 1973-1986. They retired in 1986 traveling the country in their RV, which was one of their most favorite memories of their retirement. They settled in Florida where they lived before moving back to Connecticut in 2012. Noella’s foundation was built upon her faith in Jesus Christ. She never wavered from her beliefs in God even to her time of entering heaven. She had complete trust that God would lead her down the right paths throughout her life. Noella always had a saint to pray to when her family was faced with challenges… and it worked! She was an avid baseball fan following the Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays. She knew many statistics for every player. Baseball put a smile on her face. She also enjoyed walking, reading and playing cards with a passion. Noella was predeceased by two brothers Gil and Roger and four sisters Jeanne, Terry, Gerry and Claire. Along with her husband, she joins her two sons in heaven, Jeffrey and Timothy. Noella is survived by her daughter Annemarie Parker and her husband David, Lester Sirois Jr. and his wife Dianne, Michael Sirois and his wife Cindy, six grandchildren Ashley Bachman, Kevin Parker, Nick Sirois, Tyler Sirois, Miranda McDonald, and Jonathan Sauve as well as four great grandchildren Lilly, Madilyn, Cheyenne and Jaide. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff at Seabury for the excellent care she received over the past two years. Noella’s life will be celebrated during a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Saint Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Road, South Windsor, CT. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield, CT. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass from 9am-10am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Noella’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (alzfdn.org). Glastonbury Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
