

Richard Franklin Pendleton of Niantic, CT, 86, former executive at United Technologies Corporation died June 12 at his home with family and friends by his side. He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Kristen Frost Pendleton and his wife, the former Elizabeth Prince Frost. He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Adams Pendleton and four granddaughters, Casey, Meri, Celine and Maureen McGee, Nadrian Campbell, several much loved nieces and a nephew, and many dear friends.
Mr. Pendleton was a graduate of Norwich Free Academy and Bryant College. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and the Connecticut State Guard during World War II.
During his 30 years with UTC he had many assignments but the one he enjoyed most was managing the company’s philanthropic programs. He was a member of the Contributions Council of the Conference Board of New York.
Mr. Pendleton’s avocation was boating. During his life he owned a number of downeast lobster style boats in which he, his wife and friends cruised the New England Coast.
Family and friends are invited to his funeral liturgy Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 10:00am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., So. Glastonbury, followed by burial with military honors in the Old Church Cemetery, Glastonbury.
