

Walter K. Campbell, of Glastonbury, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the age of 91. Walter was the widower of Mildred E. (Buck) Campbell. He was born March 24, 1921 in Athol, MA to the late Guy E. and Lydia (Freeman) Campbell. He and his wife were longtime residents of Glastonbury.
Walter joined the Merchant Marines then proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. Walter was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Walter is survived by his two sons, William Campbell and his wife Kathleen of Hebron CT, James Campbell of South Carolina; his daughter, Donna Campbell of Hebron, CT; his four grandchildren, Stephanie Hernborg of Willimantic, Billy Campbell of Hebron, Christopher Campbell and Bradley Ryan Campbell both of South Carolina and four great-grandchildren all of South Carolina.
